The Leaders

1. Barindra Kumar Ghose: Aurobindo’s brother, became leader of a revolutionary secret society in 1906

2. Upendra Nath Bannerjee: was responsible for society’s religious instruction

3. Ullas Kar Das: was the group’s principal bomb maker until Hem Chandra returned from Paris

4. Hem Chandra Das was so committed to the cause of kicking the British out of India that he sold his house in Kolkata for his trip to Paris for learning political theory and bomb making. In Paris Hem learned political theory and explosive chemistry from the Russian Nicholas Safranski and others.
