Foundation:

Contribution

1. Supported the provisional government of Bangladesh to liberate the country from Pakistani colonialism

2. Lobbied to various countries of the world to achieve recognition of Bangladesh as an independent country.

4. Pursued the peoples demand for independence in the United Nations

5. Influenced the USSR government to support the independence of Bangladesh

6. Organized the cooperatives for the fishermen around the country. Proponent of the popular demand " he who owns the net owns the swamp". This movement yielded benefits to the poor fishermen.

7. Through movements NAP forced the government to adopt a fixed rate for the lease of the bazaars and hats (weekly open markets in towns) 

8. Time to time NAP organized processions in demand of reduction of taxes and revenues.

9. Demanded organize rations of rice, dal, oil and salt for the poor masses in the villages

10. Organized labor movements and organizations to create pressure on government to increase wages for the the laborers and introduce bonuses for them

11. Committed to educate its leaders and activists to help the people of Bangladesh achieve social democracy.

Strength

The political strategy to make socialist movements popular among the illiterate Muslims (majority of the population) namely with its slogan: Dharma, karma and socialism

Weakness

Failure to emerge as an alternative political force.

Mistake (s)

Failure to convince Sheikh Mujib for nationalization of only 15% of  the industries instead of  100%. 

Failure to convince Awami Leage to form BKSAL (a political front comprising the pro liberation forces) in 1972 instead of 1974.
